Tamanu Oil is naturally rich in palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid (omega 9 fatty acid) and linoleic acid (omega 6 essential fatty acid).

Typical fatty acid profile:

Tamanu Oil is typically used for its natural emolliency, as well as to its ability to reinforce the skin's natural moisture barrier, helping to protect it against the abuse of the elements.

Tamanu Oil solidifies at colder temperatures. To bring it back to its liquid form just place the bottle in a cup with some warm water for few minutes.

I love this oil! The smell is not too strong like other Tamanu oils that I have tried before and it is perfect for my sensitive acne prone skin. Other oils (rosehip and jojoba) broke me out and Tamanu is the opposite as it seems to soothe my skin and clams my acne when I am having a breakout. The next day I have an amazing glow and my skin seems rejuvenated!

Great when mixed with moisturiser., 6 Aug. 2014
I find this oil great for oily skin. I mix it with my regular moisturiser and have noticed an improvement in spots since I began this. I wouldn't recommend for use on its own as I found it to be very drying and it took ages to sink into skin.

Had a big back tattoo and used this for healing, it sinks in deep nurishes the overworked skin and helps heal fast, will be needing another bottle as back for another session to finish, great stuff.
