I've had other products from Luxe Elixir and have always been really happy with their products, so was excited to try this new product.

I got this for my daughter to use and chose colour 94.scarlet to match her skin tone. It is nicely presented in a box that matches all their boxes, so it follows the branding well. The boxes are well designed and elegant.

The powder is inside a jar with a really fluffy powder puff sitting on top. There is also an instruction book detailing how to apply, which is a nice addition. This powder is meant as a first stage of applying your make up and does give your skin a brilliant base layer. This is her new favourite product.

I work in the beauty industry and love trying out different and new products that are very good quality but at an affordable price. I've used Luxe elixir products before and have never been disappointed with the quality. I wanted to try out this loose pigmented finishing powder. You have several choices depending on your skin tone-cool, warm or neutral. Cool skin tones suit pinkish undertones in makeup, warm skin tones suit yellow pigments in the makeup and neutral skin tones could use either. You can determine your skin tone by looking at the colour of you veins on your wrist in natural light. If they appear mainly blue, then you're a cool tone. If they're mainly green, then you're a warm tone and if it's difficult to decide either way you're a neutral. My skin tone is neutral, but as I have olive skin, I try and stick to neutral shades or warm ones. This is because if I wear cool tones, my skin takes on a grey, ashen tone which looks awful.
