ALL UV nail driers increase risk of skin cancer- however, comparing this product to similar - its lightweight, portable & works!, 6 Feb. 2016

However before i start the full review, i would advise caution about using ANY UV Nail drier/curer (not just this one) at home or in a nail salon, as they do all potentially increase the chance of skin cancer! These lamps emit UVA light, which penetrates the skin, and prolonged exposure can lead to an increased risk of development of skin cancer. Basically, if you use these types of products frequently, the chance of skin cancer occuring increases. See below for a general article on UV nail lamps and skin cancer, and also a study of two cases of skin cancer. The article was only a very small sample study, and would need to be done a much larger scale to rigorously test the findings. Nevertheless, the findings are interesting - they projected that the amount of exposure required before you reach a potential risk of skin damage is actually reasonably easy to achieve - just 11...

I was so wrong thinking that it can't be advisable considering the mini price! I was disabused and taught better!, 30 Jan. 2016

Ipso facto, I mean alone for the reason that this wonderful portable polish and gel drier costs like ... - well ... NOTHING! ...-makes it worth 5 stars anyway. And just to be honest, I didn't expect much when my friend bought it for herself.On the contrary, I even advised her NOT to buy it, but nevertheless she did. What a luck that she didn't listen to me!I'm going to buy one for myself now too, as this little LED light miracle does a wonderful job! We tried it out at her placewhen it arrived and now I'm really amazed! The result was adorable, I absolutely want one for myself now too, unconditionally!

There's also a preset 10s timer as well, which is pretty handy.It's a small and cute looking unit that does what it says on the tin!
