I found that the oil had very little odour compared to other cedarwood oils purchased previously and as I wanted to use it for its moth repellent properties this was rather disappointing. It doesn't seem to have had much effect on the moths either.

Cedarwood oil, smells fantastic. Product a little pricey but no complaint about quality. Shipped promptly and well-packed. Will buy again if I don't find a better deal elsewhere.

Absolute Aromas usually have high quality oils, so I guess this one could have been badly stored, because the smell of this cedarwood oil not only is unrecognisable to me as such, but is deeply unpleasant and nauseating: how I imagine off-gassing plastic might smell if a particularly strong pine toilet-cleaner were poured over it. I bought this oil for therapeutic purposes and because I love the smell of cedarwood; however, I think this could work well if I wanted to repel moths - except that everyone else would also be repelled. Most disappointing.
