My hair is naturally very curly. After washing, I straighten my hair and although it wisps up and a few noticeable waves or large curls form after a few days, it never goes back to being as curly as it naturally is, unless I get caught in the rain or somehow get all of my hair wet. Anyway, after I wash my hair it's usually super super difficult to comb out and manage. My hair is extremely thick and as I cut it regularly and haven't relaxed it in about 4 years now, it is basically all natural. I find that after washing my hair, it is quite dry, even with the normal conditioners I use (Pantene, L'Oreal etc). But after my sister put this in my hair, twisted it in to sections and then left it in to deep condition my hair, I cannot tell you how amazingly soft my hair was! It was SO easy to comb out - the comb would literally glide through my hair - and it took me much less time to straighten because my hair had next to no kinks in it!
