This lotion works fine and leaves my skin nice and soft without feeling greasy. The reason I didn't give the product more stars is that I was looking for a lotion made from only gentle natural ingredients and I was disappointed to find it contains both retinyl palmitate (vit A) and hyaluronic acid, which are great anti-aging type chemicals found in many branded creams, but I thought they were a bit unnecessary in a supposed 'natural organic ' product that the packaging and branding suggests it is. I read somewhere that over time these ingredients can thin the skin and make it more sensitive to sunlight. I have been reluctant to use it on my face as my face did go a little red and dry with the first few applications ( my face is sensitive to vit A products), but it seems to be fine on my body.

Great for sunburn, 22 Nov. 2009

This stuff is the best! I am a ginger and so the pain of sunburn is quite often my holiday companion. I know, I know, I am very naughty. It is not that I don't apply sun screen I do. I surf and climb so sun screen is not often going to stay on very long. (Aloe Gator is a great sun screen though. feels horrid but is good for hours in the water)

This Aloe lotion is great stuff. A friend of mine recommended PURE aloe vera gel to me. She went on a glass blowing class and they had loads of aloe vera around for all the burns they get. I used to use the 99% pure Aloe vera gel which is also fantastic but can dry tight on the skin. The lotion is almost as effective but much nicer on the skin.

I would say this heals sunburn 20-30% faster than regular aftersun. My girlfiend is also a total convert to Pure Aloe Vera lotion (and it has to be the pure stuff, other types can have about 50%water 2%aloe vera) . She is currently using it to stop her pregnant belly getting stretch...

Yes, Yes, I have changed my initial review from 4 to 5 stars!This does not happen to me!This lotion is the very best thing I have ever used! It is Winter just now so that may be it, but, I can tell you it works like a charm for all over body softness!I used this quite by accident as my eye cream the other night, I usually use a super-pricey, much-advertised Miracle Dark circles anti-wrinkles formula...I woke up and noticed my face felt a lot less greasy overnight than usual, so I used it again.After just a week, my colleagues at work have started to ask how I've gotten rid of my Owl eyes!I noticed then that the dark areas had reduced to less than half of what they were before!All told, My heels are baby soft, my knees are a dream, and unlike other softneing creams this is super non greasy, and it leaves you with a slightly garden fresh smell, very natural!Am ordering all they have so hurry up if you are keen!
