I have been purchasing Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo 250 ml size for a while now, and found it cheaper here on Amazon

than buying it in my local pharmacy, so I thought it time to sing its praises. As an older male, I find that it keeps my

grey hair in good condition, it certainly helps with itchy scalp which can be caused by age related skin conditions or

medications, and keeps me free from dandruff.

I have short hair and find that using it every other day it gives a slight thickening to my thinning hair.

Whether it does live up to the TV adverts which indicate that it can prevent hair loss, I cannot say, but it does keep

my hair looking clean and fresh. I do as the instructions on the bottle suggest and leave it on my hair for the required

two minutes, and feel good after using it.

One interesting point of information that is printed on the bottle is that for Competing Athletes," Alpecin Caffeine can be

detected in the hair...

BOUGHT IN HASTE...REPENTED AT LEISURE!, 4 Aug. 2016

Serves me right for rush purchasing! I avoid SLS and PARABENS like the plague. I was in a hurry and purchased this on a whim without my usual checking of the ingredients. I have learnt my lesson. SLS is a cheap foaming/degreasing agent (originally used as an industrial degreaser) that is a know skin irritant and gets absorbed into the cells. Plus this product has no less than three PARABENS (preservatives) again, a widely known hormone disrupter! Thankfully, the message is slowly leaking through to the big commercial brands, who have started omitting/stating 'NO PARABENS' on their products because of the growing awareness/acknowledgement of the negative effects. Also, more and more products are now becoming SLS free too but unfortunately the vast majority of products still contain them on the high street...but the tide is slowly turning.

I swear by this stuff as a 30 something female who went through devastating hair loss I searched for something to help even a little bit, I tried vitamin pills mineral pills the lot. Then I found this... so life changing the effect it's had for me I can now wear my hair down in public which as a female is something most take for granted Trust me not nice at all when you can't do it! As recommended do leave it on for a few minutes and I do use conditioner just on the ends of my hair as it's past my shoulders. As with anything it may or may not work for everyone but I'm so happy that day in boots i checked out the men's hair product section! I give it ten out of ten my partner now also uses it and has noticed a fullness in his thinning hair. You also need to use more than just one bottle to see results I recommend ditching your pantene or whatever else and give this a go. Hope this gives some hope to anyone who's in my situation and don't give up is trial and error but I find it works...
