The wig arrived in a plain plastic package, containing a zip-lock bag. The wig itself sat inside a cardboard surround to protect it during transit and the one I received did include a hairnet but no wig comb (which the description seems to indicate would be included).

The wig itself is definitely a fun wig, not one that you could seriously consider going out wearing in any situation other than as a costume piece for dressing up. The colour is vibrant, bright and lovely and the texture of the hair is very soft and the whole thing was lightweight enough to wear for an extended period. Also the length of the hair is something else, a real little mermaid attention grabber.

On the downsides, I had to trim the fringe in order to be able to see and the scalp mesh was easily visible without some very deliberate manipulation of the wig and I would worry that it could be seen should you wear it out.

Well, this red wig was a bit of a novelty item for me really, and when it arrived I was quite surprised by the quality. It's more of a burnished (ginger) red than a mahogany red and it was longer than I expected it to be although you can trim it if you wish. The curls in it are pretty good though and it looked quite dramatic when I tried it on.

You can use styling products on it within the guideline heat parameters but mine is just for fancy dress so I won't be styling it. It has a bra strap fastener that you can secure to your head and it helps it to keep in place.

The wig feels nice and soft and it is pretty comfortable to wear. I think you could forget it was on once it was arranged properly! I have to plaster my own hair down but you can use a wig cap underneath to do this properly.

Upon reflection, I am not sure I actually suit the red wig, I think my skin tone is all wrong (and my eyebrows are definitely wrong!) but it is a good way to figure out...
