A great staple, 23 Dec. 2014

This clay is my bathroom staple. I have oily skin with a lot of sebaceous filaments (those little grey dots, they're like blackheads but not? those are sebaceous filaments) all over my cheeks, nose, and forehead. They are the bane of my life. I hate them. I hate them SO much that I think if I were offered £10000 or permanent removal of those little things, I'd probably choose the removal. This mask - while it doesn't get rid of them, apparently it's impossible to remove them permanently, much to my dismay - really helps to keep them under control and stops them from looking quite so crater-like.

You get an insane amount of clay in this tub! I got the 1lb option and I'm about 2 inches into it after a good year and a half; I can't see myself ever running out of it, I suspect I'll still have it when I'm descending into middle age. I use about a tablespoon every time I use it as I like a thick layer, I mix it with 2 tablespoons of water, mix it all up with a foundation brush as...

This is an amazing product! I have been using if for about 2 years and only recently have I finally found a way to get the most out of it.

In the beginning I would mix equal parts of Organic ACV with the mask and place it on my face and wait 30 minutes. When it comes to washing off I would use a warm wet washcloth to soften and throw the parts in the garbage, it would make my face feel great, somewhat dry out the zits but my blackheads were always on my nose.

Now, I make sure my face is clean, I also use Witch Hazel prior to remove any oils on my face. I mix it with about 1/3 ACV so it's a bit thicker- and leave it on minimum one hour. My face pulsates like crazy!! Important to let it completely dry, and when it's hard as stone... I peel it off gently. I'm never able to get everything off by peeling but especially I found it very important to peel around my nose and T-zone area (as those areas are more prone to zits), I literally see the funk on the mask!! Bought this solely due to Isabella Peschardt's snapchat review. She's an ethopian/danish model that's fairly lightskinned so I was unsure whether or not it would work on me as I have sensitive and sometimes oily dark skin, with mild acne on my forehead. I've been looking for products that could help with the acne for years and while many have reduced the amount a little bit or dealt with any spots I had, nothing's really done the job perfectly.

The clay arrived within two days of ordering and was surprised with the amount in the smaller tub (which was a lot more than I expected). Following Isabella's advice I mixed it in a container with water before layering it on. I avoided putting the clay too close to my eyes and went around my eyebrows and left on for 20 minutes. It did start to feel a little tingly and after a while it got uncomfortable so I washed it off. I use it once a week and despite my initial hesitance about the clay it's worked wonderfully.
