Great Appliance for Us who are no good at styling our own hair, 2 Sept. 2011

My previous Babyliss Proionic thermal brush lasted about 15 years so I was really grateful to be able to replace it still. I've now had my replacement for about 12 months and am on here buying more as presents for friends. I think that the fact mine last well it may be down to how I look after them. They need to be well cared for and cleaned regularly otherwise they overheat. I really love mine and depend on it for producing lovely long spiralling curls.

I can see that if you try to drag large sections of hair through the bristles then they could tangle and become damaged. Treat them gently and they'll look after your hair for years to come. Ther're especially good for me as I'm totally useless at styling my own hair. Very Useful - excellent for my thick unruly hair., 30 April 2012

This works very well for me - I've got the coordination of a lemon and can't manage to blow dry with a brush and dryer.....just end up poking myself in the eye....But it's not a hairdryer as such, and you need to dry your hair to "almost dry" before using it, or you'll be there for hours.

When mine's almost dry, I can use the hot brush to really pull my hair from the roots, up and out to create volume at the roots, and smooth the whole length. The bristles are firm, quite widely spaced, and easily go through your hair.

I've got thick longish hair that seriously needs smoothing, and the brush does seem to give a nice sheen, and a lot more volume and movement than you get with straighteners.

Of course you can make nice waves with it too - there are videos on utube that show you how to look just like Kate Wassername.....if that's what you want.

Haven't had it long enough to know if it keeps working - just a couple of months - but I don't see...

Best hair gadget ever, 26 May 2014

My hairdresser uses this on me (he is an upscale celebrity hairdresser in London so has an eye for quality products). Its a lot less damaging than pulling with a round brush and hair dryer. The ionic component ensures a smooth finish. Always get loads of compliments when I use this to style my hair.
