Awkward to apply, and only for those who want to make a bold statement, 19 July 2017

Tried by my wife, who wasn’t over-impressed.

“I was looking forward to trying this, as I love new lipsticks, but this does not suit me at all. I like the fact you get a lip liner that complements the lip gloss, but the actual metallic matte liquid lip paint is as it says, metallic. It has a strange but beautiful shine to it, more of a glimmer of light. It also dries to look a very dense colour. I would describe the colour as reddish-bronze.

This may suit some people, but it makes a very bold statement, and I am more the fade into the background sort of person.

It went on well - the lip liner is smooth and moves over your lip outline well. The lip paint is very runny, and I needed a lot of blotting to dry it, even though I took a lot off of the applicator before applying it. Barry M Cosmetics Metallic Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Kit - Prestige

This is super little kit that contains both a liquid lip paint and a matching lip pencil. Simply outline the lips with the lip pencil then apply the lip paint up to the edges using the applicator wand. The paint provides full coverage and dries quickly to give a matte metalic finish. It really is a striking effect, and definitely a "going out" look rather than for everyday wear at the office! The tube is see-through and the colour achieved will depend on the colour of your lips but, on white paper, it is slightly lighter than the colour in the tube. I found the colour stayed on really well, even after drinking. In fact, I had to use make-up remover to get the paint off.

You'll need to make sure your lips are in good condition before applying, because any flakes or dry patches will be emphasised by the matte metallic paint. One downside is that the box is really tiny and probably sized for...

Barry M Cosmetics Metallic Matte Me Up Liquid is a handy little duo but I would recommend you apply them carefully as the liquid can be applied to quickly which leaves it a thick gloopy mess.

My favourite part of this duo is the lip pencil as it goes on smoothly and without any hesitation. I would also say to always use this first and not to use the liquid without it as the pencil leaves a waxy line which stops the liquid lipstick or matte gloss from bleeding into fine lines or even smudging outside the lip area. I also would state that it comes off easily especially when eating and drinking.

I love the matte finish which eventually is received when the lip product dries which I would recommend you always do as it will be removed easily and leaving not even a smudge behind.

This is a well-priced lip product which is certainly with the current trend of matte lipsticks and for me personally, I do like the colour the only complaint I would have is the lack of staying...
