As an older woman, I'm slowly having to discard my usual makeup standbys and that includes my usual eyeliners. Gel based were too hard to apply (having to faff about with the brush every morning was no use), liquid liners too harsh because when they dry they give a caked finish which doesn't sit well on a 'mature' eyelid. Eyeliner pencil were useless - even warming them up with a hairdryer was no good.

Then I read about Kohl eyeliner pencils and realised that this might be the answer - kohl being much softer than crayon.

Amazon's price was the cheapest I could find, and to enjoy free p&p I bought a book from my favourite author as well!

Barry Ms kohl eyeliner pencil goes on smoothly - I find if I gently pull my lid to the side, I can get a better line - and the brown is a lovely rich, dark brown, black being too harsh for me. It stays on all day and comes off easily with the swish of a baby wipe.

This is definitely one of my favourite eyeliners. The nib is very soft so doesn't irritate the sensitive eye area, and the colour stays put all day. I've found that a little goes a long way, so I've had my stick for ages. Great value for money.I own this eyeliner in a brown shade which is not available on amazon, and it highlights my eyes and makes them stand out without looking unnatural and overdone. If you're after a subtler look, this range of eyeliners is for you. Some of the other reviewers have complained that while some of the Barry M Kohl Pencils look as if they have a strong colour, once the colour is applied it doesn't look striking or bright enough. So if you're after a colourful, party look then you should probably consider another brand of liner.

I just got the white one hoping to try and use it to make my eyes seem bigger, Also for the price of buying a much cheaper brand in the shops (they are always more expensive then i remember them being). This is everything i could want in a pencil, looks great. Soft, smudgy and a nice bright colour in one stroke :) works perfectly. Will probably buy some more as add ons!
