I bought this after contemplating the purchase for sometime. I typically used regular beauty sponges, which were adequate, until now. The texture of the blender is like chamois leather, and it feels gorgeous on my skin. I feel it does a better job of contour blending than any sponge. The first time I used my Beauty Blender, I was amazed by how easy it was to achieve the seamless contours I expect, and it is much more sanitary than a sponge blender/applicator, because of the easy to use cleaner included with the blender. All that's needed is a moistened Beauty Blender, and the cleaner block removes every trace of make-up residue and leaves the blender with a pleasant scent. I tried the cleanser included with the Beauty Blender on my make-up brushes. It was quicker, easier and took less time and much less product than using my normal spray on brush cleaner.
