This is a mains operated IPL (intense pulsed light) device for hair removal. I have taken a full month to test and review this so that I can report my (interim) results. I have very fair skin with medium coloured hair and my skin is very sensitive. I had no adverse reactions to using this at all apart from slight redness. In the box is the unit which is smart looking and well designed in gold and white. It's around the size of a mobile phone, but about four times the width. The power cable with fixed lead - no USB socket to pull out - which plugs into the bottom. And the detailed and well written instruction manual. It s simple and straight forward to use. Read the instructions and perform a skin sensitivity test before first use. Plug in and switch on. The device will be set at level one and you will already know the correct settings after doing the skin sensitivity test. Apply the light head end to your skin and press the treatment button. You will hear it fire. You can see where...

I Purchased the Beurer IPL 7000 SatinSkin Pro here on Amazon under some different listing in April 2015 where the description omitted the letters 7000. I left a bad review in Jul for the product , quite a descriptive review in fact after having used the device religiously and correctly for 4 months, well in excess of 12 treatments on my chin, where I knew exactly how many hairs I had to begin with and to date 5 months down the line I can count the exact same amount still growing there. I was browsing today to try and buy some other device and saw this item for sale being sold in this listing misleadingly as if this is some newer version, upgraded model from the one I purchased previously which is not since the box of the one I purchased reads Beurer IPL 7000 SatinSkin Pro.I read some good reviews here today about this device, look like some marketing reviews more than anything , none of which got to the point, does it remove hair for good? No it did not on me, fair shin,...

My sister decided that although she doesn’t have a problem with unwanted hair she would give this device a go just to see if it actually works. She has fair skin and medium to fair hair colour.
Once you have shaved the areas to be treated it is actually quite a lengthy process using this device because as mentioned by other reviewers it’s tricky keeping track of which parts you’ve done and which of those that you haven’t. Whilst the light did feel hot there was no lasting effect which some reviewers have mentioned. I think that with these devices it seems to affect everyone slightly differently.
Having followed the plan set out in the booklet my sister did notice hair reduction which actually surprised us both as neither of us thought it would make any noticeable difference. I’m not sure that I would be prepared to recommend this device though because so many people (other reviewers) find it has no effect and therefore I think you...
