I guess I should have noted 8cm. This item is as described. 8cm but there is no give, no elastisticassy in it whatsoever. This would probably be suitable for a small child. My 10 year old could not get her bun covered (not particularly thick or long hair). It's now used on her doll. Buyer error. Product is fine.
