I bought these scissors for my friend who does beautiful detailed cross stitch. She has told me several times that normal scissors are difficult to trim off the thread when she changes colour and knots off the thread. I saw these and thought as they were so narrow and longish blades they would help with this problem. I bought them as part of her birthday present and she was overjoyed, and every time I see her she tells me how wonderful they are. They are really sharp and she can can get in really close to her work. Although they are meant as nail scissors, this gives them yet another use. I would imagine they would be excellent for embroidery etc.
