A fun, playful product with mainly natural ingredients, 29 Sept. 2015

Get Fresh Cosmetics/Bomb Cosmetics are clearly trying to pitch themselves into the established Lush market. Bath bombs, melts and creamers can be easily made, there are several books on the market will tell you how. Bomb Cosmetics are selling themselves on the fact these ARE handmade, that none of the ingredients, nor the products themselves, are tested on animals, and that the ingredients are for the most part, essential oils, vegetable carrier oils and butters and sodium bicarb (we all have this in our cupboards if we bake!) as the fizzer. Nothing, or very little, nasty or alarming. So that is all very good news.

The imaginative shapes and ideas behind these very festive (HOW many shopping days?) offerings are I think probably designed more for the younger end of the market. Sophisticated they ain't!

I have one small cavil. I would not necessarily want to use the Father Blissmas Bath Blaster if I had skin which was at all sensitive (I don't) - the combination...

Into the sleigh (bath) we go!, 29 Sept. 2015

This is one of those gifts where it’s already pre-wrapped for you with Christmas paper and a red ribbon but with the tag on the ribbon telling you what goodies are inside and an ingredients list for each labelled on the bottom of the gift so may benefit from another layer of wrapping paper or put into a gift bag.

Unwrapping it, it had a lovely powdery soapy scent and looked like something had broken as there were bits of something on the box. The outer paper is sellotaped to the pink box inside and that itself is also sealed so scissors recommended to open this one. Inside you are greeted to what looks like wood shavings – it’s a bit like a lucky dip.

The soap is transparent, varying slightly in colour from yellow to pink and inside you can clearly see what looks like liquorice allsorts. It’s sealed in cellophane which smells a bit like strawberry (from one of the other items) but actually the soap has bergamot and sweet orange essential...

Fun, cute and absolutely lovely, 28 Sept. 2015

This is a fun and quirky Christmas gift set. It has 2 large bath bombs, 2 smaller ones and a slab of soap.

Each item smells great and importantly not saccharin and artificial ( probably down to the natural essential oils that have been used to scent them).

The bath bombs fizz away to nothing in the warm bath water ( the hotter the water, the quicker they disappear) to leave it soft and almost silky feeling, filling the air with scent as it does so, it left my skin soft and a tiny amount of scent lingered for a while, but not long. You do need to wash the bath out after use though as the colour and glittery bits float to the top and stick to the sides of the bath, this can cause staining if left ( according to the manufacturers- I found no such problem).

The whole set just looks amazing, the bright colours and cute designs mean that it is very tempting to use them as bathroom ornaments rather than the intended use in the tub, the packaging that they arrived in was...
