The word 'classic' is sometimes used to indicate 'standard' but these Bosch Classic Coiffeur hair straighteners actually have a lot of innovations, and are an absolute joy to use.
They have several safety features - the on-off button is located on the inside of the handle, a sensible distance from the heat plate so it's near-impossible to switch them on accidentally.
The control button for the temperature increase/decrease is also located here, again, decreasing the risk of it being operated accidentally. A 'lock' button mounted on the 'hinge' keeps the hot plates together just after use when the straighteners are cooling down.
Unlike many other straighteners, they also have an auto-off feature that kicks in after they have been switched on for 70 minutes.

The Bosch PHS7961 is the classic coiffeur hairdressers straightener. Here is what I thought:
^^ This looks and feels just like the professionals use. I always straighten my hair and, although old, my current straighteners have lasted for years, so it was great to try a more modern product.
^^ These have anti-static ionisation to help with heat distribution and overall smoothness. They certainly heated up fast and straightened my hair quickly and easily.
^^ 5 LED temperature settings to choose from, so you can vary heat strength on different areas.
^^ Curls are fairly easy to create with the help of rounded edges, which I loved. It's nice to be able to straighten my hair all over and curl it at the bottom to finish the look, with only one appliance.
^^ These are longer and thinner than my old straighteners. Again this provides a certain 'modern' feel to them, plus they are lighter to use.

Nice looking sleek style. Black shafts with red plates. Good quality cable which is thick and long.
Easy to use.
An on switch [red] just inside the handle, which after pressing, operates the temperature lights along the outside. The light flashes as it is warming up and then stops flashing when ready to use.
You get 120 degrees C, 140, 160, 180 and 200 to choose from. When I switched mine on for the first time, the 140 light flashed. I have no idea yet which temperature will be right for my hair so I decided to just try straightening at 140.
If you want the lower temperature there is a - button and if you want any of the higher ones there is a + button. Just press the button and the next temperature light flashes, and keep going until you are on the one you want and wait until it stops flashing and you are ready to go.
All very simple and self explanatory.
I held the straighteners on my hair for a couple of seconds and they worked very well.
