We always buy Braun when it comes to close shave razors because they use foils to cut close. The coolTec is one of the latest editions and comes with a charge unit and blade cover. It sits in the hand well though there is a tendency to switch the cool button on without intention as it is near the fingers on holding. Beautifully designed, it is quiet in operation and gives a smooth close cut shave* well that is the expectation. The coolTec works on the use of a button that cools a white strip on the shaving head that feels like shaving with water and cools the skin. It gives a pleasant cool feel to the shave, it is not always needed on shaving but is useful to put on for a few seconds if that feeling is needed.
Always recommend the purchase of two shavers so that they can be alternated between them like a pair of shoes but I will make the exception with this one. This shaver sits pretty in it's own charger that takes about 25 mins to charge from new and then last for...

An absolutely brilliant shaver, I've never had a smoother, more enjoyable shave than with this shaver. The foil razors work beautifully in conjunction with the central razor, the foils cutting off shorter hairs, while the central razor takes care of longer and softer hairs. The cooltec also works brilliantly, just press the button and two seconds later the razors are cooled down, making your shave gentle, enjoyable and incomparable to any other. This shaver is ideal for anyone with sensitive skin, such as myself. I've always had problems with shaving, and having tried many electrical shavers, they have always left my face with a rash and uncomfortably itchy, but not this one, designed specifically for a more enjoyable shave, I would definitely recommend this, yet another wonderful product by Braun. The longhair trimmer is also definitely worth a mention, it's eccelent for trimming your beard, as well as regulating it's start and finish, trimming hairs down to a millimeter or so, even...
