A good epilator/razor for ladies., 9 Jun. 2015

This is a very good epilator/razor. It comes with an epilator head, razor head skin guard and also what is called a massage cap. There is also charger with 2 pin plug and a small brush. The instruction booklet combines diagrams with text and is easily understood. I was very disappointed that an instrument of this quality did not have a bag to keep the parts together. It charged very quickly and I tried the epilator and the massage cap first. I have had no luck with epilators until now. They were all too painful. Surprisingly used on the slow speed(obtained by pressing button once- for fast press twice) I felt very little discomfort. The massage cap is said to help make epilation less painful and that may be the case.I used the epilator on my legs. I then changed to the razor head very easily by pressing a button and to remove epilator and then placed razor head in position. I then shaved under my arms. I found that I had to use speed 11 with the razor but the result was very pain...

A nice little epilator if you have little legs, 10 Jun. 2015

There are 4 different head attachments and I find that the massager is the way to go. It's wet and dry so it can be used in the shower to minimize the pain and skin-shredding, and the charge lasts a good 40-ish...

Braun Silk Epil 5-541 Review, 7 July 2015

Passed this onto my partner to try out and review because as you can tell I am a guy and not that you know me but I promise you that I do not shave my legs :) Any questions please ask and I do hope this helps with your purchase decision.

Having previously used the "silk epil soft perfection" it's noticeable that the new version is much softer and smoother on the skin as well as a lot lighter and less bulky to hold. The Silk Epil 5 is also easier to maneuver over its predecessor particularly underneath the arms, capturing all hairs easily and quickly leaving the skin soft and smooth for 2 and a half weeks before having to redo. Legs took only 10 minutes leaving only the odd hair.

Set up out of the box was simple and changeable heads are easy to remove and replace and the instructions are easy to follow and understand.

There was some redness immediately after use however this quickly faded. There was no other irritation unlike the previous model above...
