Pulsonic 9000 Replacement Cutter & Foil, 1 Nov. 2011

Having got to the point where shaving was like slicing bacon rashers off my face, I finally ordered a new foil & cutter. I can't believe the difference. It takes only a few minutes to shave now and no sorenes at all. Previously, it was taking ten to fifteen minutes to get anywhere near a close shave. I've had closer shaves on my boat in much less time than that! The fact is, I think that this cutting head has been re-engineered because I don't recall getting this performance from my Braun when it was brand spanking new. Seriously happy now!

After reading some of the more negative reviews I was concerned about the fact that Braun had changed the cassette to a new design, was this an improvement or them cutting corners?In practice (after two days of not shaving) there was a noticeable improvement in shaving, namely the shaver moved more smoothly over my skin and best of all I had a nicer closer shave, which is the whole point right?Is this design any better than the old design? I can't remember :) Maybe its just better because its new but I have to wonder if the larger holes in the foil let hairs through more easily ready for cutting hence a better experience.Slight negative is that the new cassette has a plastic look on the sides instead of the silver metallic look of the original making it look a little cheaper. Bottom line its a definite improvement over an old cassette of 18 months and I'm glad I bought it.
