I've tried a good few electric shavers over the years and I have to say that as far as its actual job, this one just didn't cut it (pun intended). I found myself having to go over and over certain areas till I actually had sore patches here and there (I don't necessarily blame the shaver for the soreness as I have really sensitive skin, but that in turn means I really need something that does the job quickly and gently). I suppose you could say that I got there in the end...It does feel good in the hand, has a nice weight and grip but compared to other electric shavers I've tried it just doesn't match up. On the other hand it is quite reasonably priced at the moment at £40 and the ones I'm comparing it to have been more expensive so if I view it as more of a budget shaver you could probably do worse.

Very happy with this shaver. I have tended to stick with Remingtons in the past, but decided to give Braun a try and it was a good choice. Have had this for just under three weeks now and it is still on its initial charge which took under two hours.

Being colour blind, I like the fact that there are two separate LEDs on the shaver to indicate the charging status, rather than a single one which just changes colour when it is finished. May sound like a small point but if you are colour blind then believe me it matters!

In use it is pretty quiet, and for me it gives a good close shave with little effort. The intercept cutter between the two foils is also quite efficient, and if necessary the separate pop-up trimmer is very easy to deploy. The shape and feel are also good, there are rubbery grips on the side which make quite a difference.

Cleaning is relatively easy, the whole foil assembly pops off as a single integrated unit. It can be rinsed under a...
