I have a Braun Series 3 (380S-4) which I like. One of the foils recently broke, and an outer cutter fell out.

I can't really complain, because it's been used every day for at least a year.

I ordered this cassette as a replacement, and wasn't entirely sure about it when it arrived, because it's slightly different from the old one.

The old one has a metal housing for the central micro comb cutter, whereas this has a white plastic housing for it.

The packaging says that it's 'New', so I presume that it probably means that it's a new version (it's obviously otherwise new, because it is in sealed packaging).

It fits the razor perfectly, and I must say that the first shaves with it have been much better than with the old one. But I can't really put that entirely down to any new design. After using the old one for a year or more, any new one would probably do better than the old one.

This the second replacement head I have had since the razor was new. Has a piece of plastic around the centre cutting blades otherwise looks and fits exactly the same. Does seem to shave better but then I was well overdue for the replacement.

I paid a little more than the basic replacement but am delighted that this one's slightly modified cutter does indeed give a better, closer shave. And it arrived after a few days, earlier than estimated. Very pleased.
