Telling one pair of hair straighteners from another can be a chore, so designers are clambering over one another to come up with something that makes their product stand out. The `Braun Satin Hair 7 Straightener ES 3-C' are a decent set of straighteners, but what is the USP? They claim to help protect coloured hair specifically, but perhaps their claim should still be - they are not GHDs. Although not as impressive as the grand mistresses of straight, the `Braun Satin Hair' are a very good set of straighteners at an encouraging price.

The build quality is high and they look very nice. You are able to easily change the heat levels depending on what thickness your hair is. The illusive colour save feature only works on the medium setting, so thick haired dyers will be left out, which is a same (not that I noticed if that element worked or not anyway). It was good that the `Braun Satin Hair' featured a safety switch off after thirty minutes, no longer leaving the house...

Good value, well made straighteners, lightweight, 7 Nov. 2013

My daughter had a set of GHD hair straighteners which broke so I gave her these as a replacement.She says they are not as quite as good as the GHDs but they are a lot cheaper. The 'blades' are not as long apparently.She liked the teperature control, very easy to set and monitorShe does not not have to use an extension cable, as the lead is 2 metres.The size and weight is good for travelling, hand luggage friendly.
