=== PRELIMINARY REVIEW ===
The first thing I'd like to do in this review is say this is a serious bit of kit that could burn your skin or permanently damage your eyes and will restrict what you can do during the treatment (eg you can't sunbathe), so it's not a purchase to be undertaken lightly. That said, used correctly, you really can get lasting results that take away the hassle of repeated hair removal.
The second thing I'm going to say is, based on past experience of salon IPL treatment, I am expecting good results from this Braun device - but not within the 30 day limit I have for posting a review. Therefore, this review will be updated as the results start to show (which will be at least 3 months) and over the longer term. Stand by for further updates!
As for the exfoliation brush included, I'm not convinced it's anything other than a very slow alternative...

Potential purchasers should avail themselves of the full set of safety instructions for the following two devices by way of checking the Braun web-site. There are too many to list here, alas.
The following is a review of two items provided together as one package.
Braun Exfoliator:
My wife was delighted with this and claims that it is very effective in use while also giving a nice massaging feel. It is easy to hold and use for people who have small hands. It cannot be used whilst plugged into the mains electricity: that makes it safe to use in a shower. Charging time is 1 hour - usage time is up to 40 minutes. Cleaning the 'brush head' is easy - just pull off from the body of the exfoliator. We are not sure why the head of the device itself is removable from the lower body part of the exfoliator - but nonetheless it can be removed purely by pushing a button; replacement is just a matter of pushing it back onto the exfoliator body. There is a light -...

I'm reviewing this IPL from the perspective of someone who has been using the Philips Lumea version for about 8 months now with fabulous results.
For me personally, the Braun is not as good and I'll try and explain the differences.
First, the Braun is powered by plugging into the mains as opposed to being charged up and used cordlessly. This is a plus for me because it was sometimes annoying with the Lumea to almost finish and then have the charge run out. With the Braun you can use it for as long as you need to.
The Braun has a larger treatment head and this is both good and bad. Good because you can cover larger areas faster, but bad because when you go over tricky areas like around the knees and down towards the ankles, the larger head means it's harder to get both sensors to make contact with the skin simultaneously.
Now, onto my main problem with the Braun, and this is likely only to be a problem if you have brown skin.
According to the hair & skin charts...
