Bulgari Aqua from UK Fragrance Deals is a fake, 2 Jun. 2014

I have used this for years and know it very well from packaging to smell and the way the item should look. I was already suspicious before I opened the item the minute i saw the box for this one. It was a glossier box unlike the matt finish for the boxes of all the previous ones i've used. The although close is not the same as I still had my current bottle to compare it with.

The bottle is also different with this one only showing Aqua on the bottle with the Bulgari written on the top of where you press the spray. The Bulgari is normally written on the bottle as with the one in the picture of this item on amazon. I have arranged for a return of this item immediately.

I have previously bought this from Amazon directly and it was the real deal but as this new purchase was from UK Fragrance Deal but fulfilled by Amazon, I'm assuming it's that company that's stocking the fake ones. If they are aware of this is another matter entirely but I hope the tips given above help you spot...

The newer version is without doubt different and possibly reformulated? The original had 'Bvlgari' on the bottle itself, the newer version does not but incorporates 'Bvlgari' inscribed into the cap, also the packaging is subtlety different, so to recap.....there are both new and old versions on the market, as far as I know neither are 'fake' just different. For me the original has a much stronger/nicer opening, more of the 'posidonia' possibly? Either way after 30 minutes or so they dry down very similar, neither lasts much beyond a few hours on me before being a skin scent which is a bit of a shame because overall I think it's one of a kind and my favourite. Strangely I bought a 150ml bottle too as it was offered at a good price and that has a different opening again but dries down much the same. It would be nice to be able to buy the original (non inscribed cap) but most outlets seem to send the new version even if showing the original in the description........shame, but still a...

bought for a christmas present, smells great brill price speedy delivery. partner was thrilled. was worried about glass being sent through post but was well packaged no damage to box etc.
