Burt's Bees hand salve, 27 April 2010

This product is fantastic. After numerous trips to the doctor and a series of allergic reactions to anything prescribed to get rid of athlete's foot I came across BB. I thought it was a bit pricey but it is only the cost of a UK prescription so I decided to try it. Within a few days all my symptoms had gone in both my hands and feet. It is also great for rough skin as I work p-t on an organic farm and have notoriously unladylike hands!

Whenever my hands get dry and crack after working with cement, gardening, handling chemically treated timber..... then I use Burts Bees for 3 to 4 days till they get back to normal.It helps if you use it as a barrier cream before you get your hands into a mess!Some people have commented on the fact that it makes your hands greasy. Well, that's true to some extent. However, I'm quite happy to live with slightly greasy hands for a short period as I haven't found anything as effective.I normally end up putting it on when I go to bed. Using cotton gloves helps.I like it so much, I've set up a Subscribe & Save subscription.

My Dad is a farmer and he loves this hand salve. His hands are rough and dry and in winter can be very sore from being out in the cold and wet all day. His skin often used to crack in winter but the hand salve has stopped this. Brilliant product
