A lovely little cylinder (box) of two Burt’s Bees products, the hand cream and the lip balm, received for review. It’s presented in a nice soothing milky-yellow colour that sets the scene nicely. I would have thought that it would make a nice present for someone with hard-pressed hands and lips! Please note that it has no sun protection factor, but contains wonderful natural ingredients.

Seeing 40 patients a day, I must wash my hands at least this number of times and of course, when we do so, we are encouraged to use chemical cleaning soaps and rubs as well as wipe our surfaces, baby scales and so on down with chemical wipes between patients.

In winter I find my exposed skin becoming rather dry, especially as I have aged and I always make a habit of ‘courting’ drug reps who market skin emollients and such like so that I can give some to my patients – but also take home!

Enter this duo of products. The lip balm feels gentle...

(Almost) perfect gift, 10 Sept. 2015

A rather prettily boxed gift of my favourite Burt’s Bees hand cream (Almond and milk) together with a honey lip balm. Given as an inexpensive token gift between friends or as a stocking filler, it’s a lovely little number.

The hand cream is in a screw-topped glass jar, so it is easy to scoop out as much or as little as needed. The cream is fairly rich and takes a while to be absorbed fully, feeling slightly greasy for a minute or so after application. It works well when hands are at their driest, over the Autumn and Winter months and I find it best to apply a small amount and top up if necessary rather than over apply initially. It smells, very pleasantly, of Almonds.

The honey lip balm smells, not surprisingly, of honey. It is hydrating immediately on application and needs minimal top ups over the course of the day. Unlike another balm I have tried in the range, this one can be retracted back into the tube, which is handy if you have been a little...

Beautiful Set with all Natural Ingredients, 13 Sept. 2015

This is the first Burt's Bees set that I have ever tried and in fact actually the first of their products that I have tried too. I have of course heard of the brand over the years but have just never got around to trying their products out and if this first set is a clear indicator of their products then I shall definitely be purchasing their items in the future.

This is a gorgeous set and includes:

1 x 57g Almond & Milk Hand Cream

1 x 4.25g Honey Lip Balm

Both items are presented in a lovely gift carton and this would make a lovely small gift or stocking filler. I absolutely love that Burt's Bees products are natural and not tested on animals and I honestly have no idea why I haven't bought or used their products before now however I shall definitely be using them in the future. I have included the ingredients for each item below in case of interest to anyone as at the time of writing this review the ingredients are not listed.
