fantastic moisturiser for all skin types, 14 Oct. 2012

I bought this after seeing several excellent reviews around the web for using this lotion on the face. It's not widely available in the UK and I was pleased to be able to find it. Although it is marketed as a body lotion, it is fine for facial use.

My skin is acne prone, not particularly oily and prone to dryness on occasion. A lot of moisturisers for dry skin are too heavy and clog my skin, causing spots. I am currently using Retin-A 0.05% for acne and red marks which can be irritating and cause my skin to feel dry and tight. This has resulted in a bit of a vicious circle- use Retin A for spots, spots improve but skin gets dry, use a moisturiser for dry sensitive skin, clogs skin, I breakout....... very frustrating. I want to stay using the Retin A as it is working well for the acne and red marks, and has amazing anti ageing benefits.

Initially I wrote a very favourable review for this moisturizer, unfortunately I have had to edit my review.

I have very sensitive skin to pretty much all facial washes, moisturizers and toners, I have bought many products over the years and spent a lot of money in most instances only to find that cleansers, toners and moisturizers just make me break out within a day or two and I usually end up having to bin bottles of product that I simply cannot use, I was hoping Cerave would be different.

At first I used the cerave hydrating facial wash (which I am very happy with by the way and has so far been the only facial wash that has not dried my skin out and in fact has really made a huge difference) and then I applied a small amount of the hydrating moisturizer, all seemed well and I was very impressed with how it actually seemed to soak into the skin and yet leave it feeling moisturized literally all day long, it is light and comfortable with no nasty scent and I was...

Perfect for dry, super oily, super sensitive skin (all types of skin), 26 Mar. 2015

I have been having a very problematic skin since i was 12 years old. My skin was very oily, full of acne, red patches all over my face and ironically, very dry and sensitive around my chin area. After using a lot of products to combat this issue, finally i managed to overcome this issue (when i was 20 years old! So 8 years of battling acnes). But my dermatologist told me that now, my protective skin layer is extremely thin and as a result; my skin is very sensitive.Fortunately, by using this very lotion, i managed to maintan the pH level of my skin, moisturise it adequately and also, surprisingly, control the oil on my face.Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
