Posh and pricey, but fiddly to use, 5 Sept. 2016

The first stand-out thing about this product is, sadly, the price. At time of review, it is listed on Amazon at 35 GBP. Now I would normally never spend this amount on such a product, but I'm sure a lot of people would. However, my brows are very pale so even though I rarely wear makeup, they are always the first thing I consider, so this seemed like a great product to try.

It certainly looks pricey - arrives in a classy and very sturdy presentation box. Inside there is a black velvet storage pouch, tweezers, brush, and colour in the form of a powder block, along with six stencil shapes and some very minimal instructions. I tried out the stencils against my brows to find the best match, but this alone was a bit difficult since my brows are so fair. When I eventually found one that seemed close and tried to use it with the powder and brush, I found that there was really no way I could manage to hold the stencil securely in place whilst applying colour with the other hand...

The Chelsea Beautique Brow Kit comes complete with tweezers, application brush, powder and six stencils, along with a velvet storage pouch all presented in a beautiful box. The overall design of the kit is very appealing and it's made to a very high standard.

The powder is fantastic, it gives a great natural looking colour, applies easily and is completely smudge proof. The brushes work well and are easy to use too, though I think my favourite part of the kit is the tweezers, which have a 'pointed-slant' tip and are very sharp - perfect for brow maintenance.

The reason I dropped a star for this kit is the stencils. These were one of the main draws for me as I'm not great at getting the shape right on my own - maybe I was expecting too much from them but I was really disappointed with the shapes provided. Goes on well, looks natural and lasts all day., 15 Sept. 2016

Gave this set to my daughter who is just entering her third year as a student beauty therapist and she absolutely loves it. The powder is easy to apply with the included brush and stencils, and lasts all day. She found that she can get a very natural look which she can adjust to the occasion by using the different stencils. And it all comes in a very nice pouch for portable storage. It is a little bit pricey, but so far has lasted her very well so will in the long term I believe represent good value for money. The only bit of advice she adds is to use the online charts to select the correct colour.
