My wife is very pleased with this mirror which I bought her for Christmas.However, I was surprised to discover when I unpacked it on receipt, that the X5 mirror was a silver coated metal(?) plate, not covered with glass, and I assumed that its convex shape would have made glazing too expensive. Without glazing it might be vulnerable to scratching, so we're treating it with care.The focal length of the convex (X5) face is short (150mm?) and its depth of field is only about 25mm, so you have to get very close to it and stay in position to avoid loss of focus and uncomfortable, disorientating blurring of your reflection. As you develop the precise self positioning required, the X5 mirror is very effective, hence my wife's pleasure. But a clear explanation in the advertising and in the instructions would have prepared a customer for the surprises!

Great mirror, 3 Jan. 2014
Saw this in a local Garden Centre for £39.99 so thrilled to get it for £10 less. Great quality feels s heavy and sturdy. My eye sight is getting worse with age (never needed glasses in past) but I find the oval shape is easier to see your face in than the traditional round mirror I had before. Definitely recommend.
