These are very quick to heat up. Almost instant. Easy to use with no on off or temperature switches. For those asking about an adaptor, you don't need one. Just take 1 screw out of plug and has a European plug a ready fitted. It is the UK plug that is actually an extra. In a good bag too with a guard for keeping tongs closed. Very pleased with them and I've had ghd's for years. Good for curling too.

Excellent ! A must buy! :), 4 Sept. 2015
I was quite worried buying a set of straighteners online because I am quite particular when buying them, I usually like to see them in a shop first before I purchase. My friend is a hairdresser and she recommended Cloud Nine straighteners, they are better the an GHDS. I not long got a pair (Diva Genesis Straighteners) but I didn't think they were all that good to be honest?! I have thick shoulder length hair and I wanted a pair that was easy and quick to use. Well, the first use of these I was delighted! It Straighteners my hair instantly without going over it all the time and it gives it a nice shiny, healthy smooth look :)! Very happy and I do not regret buying them!
