The pearls looked pretty as I swirled the brush in them, but not so nice when I was crawling around on hands and knees picking up those that had stuck in the brush and then burst free like pastel bullets as I applied it to my face. Trying again (being sure to shake the brush out first) I soon discovered a light dusting left no dicernable effect. A more vigorous application left me slightly sparkly but there was no other benefit that I could see. By this time, to be fair, there was significantly more redness to cover. Firmly grinding the brush into the pearls for a couple of minutes worked wonders........I looked like the Tin Man.So, unless the look you are after is sparkly aluminium, or you want to combine make up application with press ups, I'd stick with a decent CC cream.

colours are very good, and as always, pearls are much less messy to use than loose powder, while being finer and softer than compressed powder.
