I really wish I came across this product earlier. I have tried lots of different powders to hide the shine on my forehead and nothing worked, but this little black pot has done it. It feels so smooth on my face, and it does give me that mat finish look I was aiming for.It matches my olive skin tone. Lovely product, nice consistency, practical pot, pleasent smell, does the job and for that price! a real bargain. Thanks amazon.

I tried Corn Silk loose face powder years ago after reading a rave review of the product in a high quality ladies fashion mag. At that time (in the 80's) it was stocked by Superdrug, boots and most independent high street pharmacies, and at a fantastic price. Being a teenager in the 80's it suited my budget. Years have gone by and I have spent and wasted a lot of money on premium branded products from Clinque, dior, Mac,Chanel etc (admit have not tried the new chanel or Laura mercier powders but kind of reluctant to splash out £50 when this works wonders and a fraction of that price)So I was very disappointed when both boots and superdrug decided to drop the product-Thank goodness for amazon is all I can say! this is one of my make-up bag "can't live without" products and makes such a huge difference to any completion (whether oily, dry, recovering from late night, too much booze etc) it never sinks into open pores, if really does feel and glide on like silk and is a wonderful natural...

I put it on and you can apply quite a bit of this powder without it looking cakey which is very rare.

Really love the finish it gives the skin, and it leaves a glowing fresh look, unfortunately it doesn't stop the shine ( if you have very very oily skin like me)

no better than my other powders

I wore it today and by 8 o'clock tonight it was shinier than ever :/ . So that was annoying , i was hoping it would stay matte like it says in other reviews..

But cornsilk didn't keep my skin matte for long.

update-

My skin is less oily lately as ive been using a really good soap ( nubian heritage shea butter soap) which i also got on amazon :P

and the since my skins more under control, the cornsilk has been working fantasically. No grease, smooth even , lovely. will buy more cornsilk again :) over all good product.

But if you have suuuuuuuuuuper oily skin, no product will take that away. you have to tackle the issue...
