After reading the reviews I couldn't wait to receive this in the post. It had a lot of packaging for a tiny item. It is the same size as a mascara. I combed my hair and then used the wand. It came out sticky, clumpy and when applied to the hair, it had the same sticky, clumpy stuff all over the roots and scalp of my hair. The grey was still there and so was this mascara dye stuff - on my scalp! I used a small fine comb to protect my scalp and then brushed the wand on my grey roots - but it made no difference as the stuff just spreads everywhere and does not adhere to the hair. It just is not worth the hassle! I knew it looked too good to be true.Groan..... This item is total and utter rubbish. I have posted this under other colours of the same brand! I have been robbed of my money! :-(

Don't waste your money on this product. I found the medium brown one (when my hair was brown) so much better. Using this 'blonde' version results in clumpy lumps of crayon on your hair. Nasty.

I am so glad I gave this product a go, despite the mixed reviews. In colouring terms I am a 'dark blonde' (not a proper blonde by any means) and have several tones of dark blonde through my hair to cover a lot of grey these days, and I have to say this crayon is a godsend for roots. I have thick wavey hair and personally I apply this crayon quite liberally to the roots. It makes a huge difference. I can apply it in streaks so it still looks quite natural or go for fuller coverage. Just have to remember to apply it *after* I put hair mousse on and not the other way around! It has got me through many a busy time when I just haven't got around to booking in for a hair colour appointment, or have been a bit short on money.I also have another crayon by another brand, which is darker brown and wider. Both work well depending on whether my hair is lighter or darker - I go fairer in the summer.I'm back here to buy a replacement as mine is all used up.
