EXPENSIVE AND POOR, 15 Feb. 2015
I recently bought some of this shaving soap , mainly for the very nice wooden bowl, the bowl is fine but other reviews are correct, it is a very poor product. I'm told by a chemist that to use a shaving soap and brush is the best way to shave for comfort and to prevent sore skin. I agree totally with this and for the last 10 years plus I have been using Wilkinsons shaving soap and bowl ( the blue plastic bowl) which has been great, but fancying a change I bought the Crabtree and Evelyn, mistake.It dries out very quickly and leads to an uncomfortable shave . It took me three days of going back to the Wilkinsons soap to start to feel less sore.I have just bought , from Amazon, 5 of the Wilkinson bowls with refills , and incidentally the five are less expensive than one Crabtree and Evelyn product.

This product was repackaged and price went up. This new soap is not as good as before it dosen't lather as well as previous product. Have they changed formula. I have used the Lime shaving soap and that was ok. Very disappointed in the sandelwood soap. Will not use again.

Four years ago I posted a rave review about Nomad soap, after a couple of refills I decided to try the the Sandalwood .......... Whatamistakatomaka ........ virtually no lather, waste of money ...... waiting for them to restock Nomad !
