A radically fresh composition, dictated by a name that has the ring of a manifesto. That was the way François Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator, wanted it: raw and noble all at once. Natural ingredients, selected with extreme care, prevail in excessive doses. Radiant top notes burst with the juicy freshness of Reggio di Calabria Bergamot. Ambroxan, derived from precious ambergris, unleashes a powerfully woody trail. Sauvage is an act of creation inspired by wide-open spaces. An ozone blue sky sprawled above a rocky landscape, white-hot beneath the desert sun. Please note that this item cannot be shipped to Channel Islands, Highlands of Scotland, the Isle of Man and the Shetlands because it would be against airline regulations and Royal Mail/courier services rules to post perfume due to legal or safety reasons. Classic citrus fragrance that will last all day., 19 Sept. 2014
Eau Sauvage was the first aftershave I ever bought (more than 30 years ago), and it's one I still keep going back to. It is a light fresh fragrance suitable for day wear. The predominant scents are citrus, but it has some light woody undertones to round it out. It is exceptionally long lasting, and a single morning application will last the full day, but unlike other long lasting fragrances it is never over-powering. Although definitely a masculine fragrance, I know a couple of women who love it so much that they wear it themselves. It's a real crowd pleaser which I will buy again and again.

Love it (or hate it), 19 Mar. 2014
Now, I've used this EDT for many years because my wife likes it - and so do I. It all really comes down to whether you like it or not; one man's meat, another man's poison and all that. Buying the larger size makes a lot of sense and I'm pleased with my purchase.

Not the cheapest around, but it doesn't smell like it either. I met someone recently that I haven't seen for 25 years and one of the first things she noticed, and complemented me on, was that I still used Eau Sauvage
