Farewell to hair loss, 30 April 2014

After the menopause, I noticed that my hair was falling out and being replaced more slowly than before until eventually I noticed pink scalp showing through slightly thinning hair - around where partings have been. Each side of my "widows peak" my hair was receding and each side of my head (above the ears) it was also thin.

I mentioned all this to my hairdresser who said she has seen much worse. This was no comfort whatsoever. She then mentioned Revita which her husband had used, successfully at first but he didn't have the staying power and I believe his hair is back to its old state.

However, I bought this shampoo and followed the instructions to the letter. Actually it didn't say to wet the hair before the first application so I didn't for the first six weeks, after which I mentioned it to my hairdresser who said I should have done and from then on I used it as an ordinary shampoo. I Love this product, as my hair is thin it really helps make my hair grow faster! I just wish it wasn't so expensive and fight keep getting more expensive! The product only lasts me about a month, and that's only using the shampoo once, which as directed you're ment to use it twice in one shower session. But every time I come back to buy more, I swear it's more expensive. But I HAVE to buy this, my hair can't tolerate any other off the shelf shampoo.

I find hair products really hard to review as I never use one in isolation from others.I have been buying this shampoo for a year now and I do enjoy using it. It lathers really well and has a nice fragrance.I rely on my hairdresser for advice about my hair growth/strength and she always says that my hair is strong and healthy.The only downside is the price point. I will assume that one has to pay so much due to the research that the company is putting into their product.As I am anxious to minimise my hair loss I will stick to this brand.
