I have been using this product for ten years and have always experienced great results. It is very effective at straightening out afro style hair, but is only suitable for this hair type. You must also follow the instructions with regards to application and time to the minute, otherwise you will end up being one of these unfortunately people who has their hair snapped off and see it swimming away into the drain (refer to the 1 star reviews). This hair relaxer is one of the strongest chemicals that anybody can put on your hair, and leaving the cream on too long severely weakens the hair, which causes the snapping. Also try and avoid the scalp as it may cause blistering (but try not to let this put you off!!) It is very reasonably priced for what it does, and each pack can last two applications if you are only doing a root touch-up. - This loses 1 star because the gloves in box were already ripped and upon trying to wear them they ripped even more. Luckily I have my own high quality gloves. Though it claims it can irritate the skin, it did not irritate my scalp or my skin (accidently).
I dont like my afro hair, so I heard of "hair relaxers" after researching, tried this one and its straight forward. Now at the moment my hair isn't very long but its not short at all. [I have tried straighteners (flat irons) and I just don't like how it pulls the hair and for my hair it took over an hour.]
