Westlab natural Dead Sea salt is imported from the Dead Sea in Israel. As a new treatment regime for chronic psoriasis, I decided to try bathing in dead sea salt baths in combination with other things as well. My regime is as follows:
1. Have bath with 1kg dead sea salt in the morning, soaking for 20 minutes minimum. I wash with a dead sea black mud soap bar, and wash hair with prescribed Capasal coal tar shampoo as per instructions.
2. I pat dry with a towel, and apply Exorex coal tar lotion to body and scalp and leave to dry.
3.Once dry, I moisturise using a prescribed emollient called Unguentum M. I also sometimes put a little olive oil through my hair to keep scalp less dry.
4. 2-3 hours later, moisturise again.
5. 2-3 hours after that, I re-apply Exorex.
6. Another few hours later, I moisturise again.
7. Before bed, I re-apply coal tar, leave to dry and then moisturise ready to start all over again the next day!
This all sounds like a chore, because it is. I have been prescribed topical steroids...
