I have black hair so got black colour.I have a receding hairline and no hair on temples. So I thought to give this product a try. Its like a black paint which covers the baldness. I applied the paint as instructed.The paint was wet on my scalp and temples so I blow dry it. Now use your finger to rub it to create a shadow. The same way you would shadow if drawing on a piece of paper. After that I sprinkled nanogen fibres and sprayed lock spray and styled my hair. Use a bit of hairspray in the end.
The result was it looked well.
However points to be noted:
1) The product gave me itchiness
2) If you touch your scalp, it transfers colour on fingers
3) Colour transferred on pillow and sheets too if hair not washed before sleeping.
4) If you are sweating, dont touch the coloured parts with a towel. Not suitable for heavy sweating in the gym. Black sweat will run down your face.
Final verdict: Not a complete waterproof, sweatproof product...

I thought I'd try this product, so as to see if it's any better than the one I've previously used (Nanogen fibres). Having watched the video clips (produced by the DermMatch manufacturers), I had high hopes. However, I'm not pleased with this product - and I can't recommend it.
It's effectively a make-up powder - akin to face make-up worn by many women. Only this is applied to the top of your head, and is intended to conceal thinning hair. It's not exactly quick to apply, although it's certainly not difficult. And it does conceal the skin on your head - as it "paints" it a different colour. But it does NOT give the appearance of having thicker hair. Rather, it makes you look like you've coloured-in your scalp!

This product has been a life saver for me! Having developed alopecia for the second time in life but this time with two very young children, I don't have much time to spend styling my hair daily - DermMatch has really helped me conceal my alopecia and give me confidence back to do activities with the children I would have avoided, like swimming and going out in the wind. It takes a little while to get the hang of how to apply it and it can be a little messy but it really does stay put until you shampoo it out - and even then you really have to scrub your scalp to get it out properly.
