I was very disappointed to discover this product contains plastic microbeads. Why is that an issue? Well, these little guys get washed into the water system and ultimately into our seas. Large pieces of plastic are already causing devastation with marine wildlife and these are potentially worse - because they are so small they cannot be collected and removed from water; they're eaten by increasingly bigger animals until they are embedded within these living ecosystems. Discovering my mistake I decided I had to bin the product. A lot of companies have phased these out & I hope Dermalogica does too.
