This set contains a de-tangling brush and a comb. I personally wouldn't use the wide tooth comb but it would be perfect for someone with curls, and it is even great for combing conditioner through the hair in the shower - I really love the 2 cats icon at the end of the handle though - too cute. The de-tangling brush is similar to the "Tangle Teezer". I love my tangle teezer, it was definately a life saver when I had longer hair. Like the tangle teezer the Bella & Bear de-tangler has 2 different lengths of teeth which are said to "flick" the hair to get rid of any knots. The Bella & Bear de-tangler has a handle which does make it easier to control the brush and I like this extra room from my hand - I can't tell you the amount of times i have flicked my Tangle teezer across the room - very annoying. Unfortunately I found the bristles of the Bella & Bear brush to be far too stiff and they hurt my scalp when I am using it. If the bristles were softer I would choose this...
