I have tried the very expensive Panasonic 5 blade electric razor, Wilkinson Sword 5 blade wet razor and the Gillette Proglide 5 blade wet razor, and thought they were all reasonable but far from being the perfect shave for me Then I saw the Dorca Pace 6+ wet razor listed on Amazon and I have been impressed with it. The Dorca 6 blade gives a top class shave, doesn't burn, no nicks, and the problem area under the chin and jaw around the neck is done better than I have ever experienced with any other shaver. I used it with the cheaply priced Gillette Sensitive Shaving Foam, and the extra plus is the Dorca Pace replacement blades are much cheaper than either the Gillette or Wilkinson blades.

A great close shave, 18 May 2017
I've had a beard for two years and finally caved in to the wife's demands to shave it off. I did my homework on Amazon and I knew I wanted a wet shave, not an electric one. Next question was double edged or cartridge, both had their merits. Having compared the big names against Dorco I opted for the Dorco and it was a great buy. Price was fair and I liked the brand. Anyway, after having as much of the beard chopped off as my wife could manage, I was banished to the bathroom to finish the job. I have to say, the Dorco razor was fantastic. You could hear and feel the six blades tackling the stubble as it swept over the face and neck. It felt sharp and firm, I don't remember the Gillette blades doing that. No nicks or cuts, just a smooth sharp shave. It looks and feels strange to be so closely shaved again but the wife likes it and I can see that look in her eye...........

Okay, let’s get something out in the open here. My mantra is simple: Anyone but Gillette. No disrespect, my Fusion razor was a heck of a razor, but the cost of blades was frankly ridiculous, so a few years ago I decided never to buy a Gillette razor, but seek out alternatives, and ultimately, pay less money.For me, this razor and blades is the best I’ve used so far, and I’ve tried a few over the last few years. I’m lucky in that I only need to shave every 3-4 days and I’m still on my first blade, probably about 8 shaves in. I’ve had no issue with the blade clogging, using a Proraso cream and a brush to apply.For the money, the Dorco seems good value and is a nicely weighted, quality feeling product. What’s nice is the universal mount, meaning you can mix up blades with your handle. I can’t think of another company who does this, although I’m sure there probably are, I’ve just not come across them.So far, so very good.
