I've been advised that I should moisturise. Well, okay, nagged.

I've been working through a pot of the Dove Silky and Nourishing cream over a long period and finally had some advice that made more sense than just slapping slime on myself at random - I really don't like the feel of creams on my skin even when they're in my best interest, such as sunblock! I'm natually resistant to the idea.

The advice was to moisturise after showers and baths rather than just at some given time of day, or merely whenever I felt like it - which isn't often. Apparently our skin is more receptive after washing and also more prone to sudden dryness if water is just left to evaporate away. I guess that any moisture that made it into the skin can also be kept from drying away can also be locked in a little longer, so after bath or shower time is the best moment.

Either way, I still don't really like the feel of creams freshly applied, but these Dove creams do at least feel a...

Glad we can still buy dove silky online! Shops seen to have stopped selling this on their shelves. Excellent value for money. I ordered this as a gift. It comes in a case of 6,however 4 comes in a case,the other 2 had been taken out and put in.So as a gift it didn't seem right to give 6 because the remaining two were not packed with the 4. So I gave the case of 4 and kept the single 2 for myself! I would have sold it in packs of 4 as that is how many is in a case. And lowered the price.

Love this product which isn't available in the shops anymore & don't like the highly perfumed replacements .. will someone please tell the manufacturers.
