Its been two months since I bought this item. I wanted to wait until I was absoultely sure until I posted a review.
Firstly, it works. It honestly does. Do not be afraid to buy this product. I was initially put off by all the negative reviews, but the good price and desperation eventually won out.
I work in fast food doing 9 hour shifts and it gets HOT. I was constantly sweating and since I wear bright shirts it was horribly noticeable. I used to keep my arms clamped down by my sides the entire shift and I know customers noticed. I don't have a problem sweating normally so I bought this purely for work purposes.
So I get the product very quickly and the first night I had a bath and about an hour later I applied the product (making sure my underarms were completely dry) and went to bed. Absoultely no problems . No itchiness or soreness or anything.

I have hyperhidrosis at a very severe level on my hands and feet. Mainly the difficulty is with my hands.
I have now tried whole bottles of: Driclor, Odaban, and Certain Dri. ONLY DRICLOR was able to prevent my hands from sweating after more than a couple of hours in the morning. With all of the others my hands begin to sweat (drip!) by the time I get in the car on my way to work.
The only downsides I've found to Driclor are: quite a strong chemical smell when you apply it at night (but only when you apply, it disappears when it dries and fades quickly), and yes, it does itch/sting when you begin to sweat the next day but it seems that this is an effect of Driclor "blocking" it and doing its job. I find it to be a sort of intense pins-and-needles type feeling. But this doesn't always occur, and to be honest, I don't find this all that bad since it doesn't last that long when it happens.

I never thought an 'over the counter' type of product could back up the claim it makes on the label. I never usually write reviews either but because this product does deliver I felt I should.
So firstly the down sides - it isn't cheap and you don't get a lot for your money. The upside here is you don't use a whole lot, one swipe under each arm should do it. Plus, if you are anything like me you won't mind the expense as long as the product actually works.
Many reviews mention that it stings - I found it more itchy. It's uncomfortable but not unbearable. If it becomes unbearable and big irritation occurs then it is more likely you are sensitive to one of the ingredients and should discontinue use.
The upside....it really does work wonders! I have always been very self-conscious because I sweat excessively. It didn't matter what I was wearing, whether I had been physically active or the time of year - I would always have wet patches under my arms. Mine got to the point...
