I was looking to replace an almost identical brush bought something like 30 years previously and which has been in daily use ever since- and I seem to have found it!There's nothing like a badger hair brush for shaving luxury. This brush is generously filled, well shaped and just the right size. I have, as yet - since the brush is still new to me, experienced no hair loss from it.I look forward to many years of satisfactory use.Must also mention Amazon's usual efficiency. The brush arrived in perfect order within two days of ordering.

Excellent quality and performance at a good price., 16 Sept. 2015

After 12 months of safety razor shaving and abusing my first poor pure badger brush (e.g. soaking it in water that was far too hot, gunking it up from experimenting with a pre-shave oil) I learned how to look after a brush properly and decided to invest in the best I could afford at the time. The Edwin Jagger Super badger fitted the bill nicely. It seems to require less time to hydrate before a shave, absorbing and retaining more water in comparison to the pure badger. There is a difference in the feel of the brush insofar as it is noticeably softer on the face so those that prefer an exfoliating feel may be disappointed (though I'm sure the brush is achieving the same result). The brush is a good size though not too densely packed but that is reflected in it's price. Hair loss has been pretty minimal so that is testament to the build quality. The packaging is classic Edwin Jagger and comes with some handy care instructions and a matching drip stand. I was pleasantly surprised...

I recieved the brush promptly. I ordered it because I saw it was this company who make brushes for one of the mainstream 'nice' shops but retail them at significantly less than they are in store. The brush is great, does everything it is supposed to do, lathers up well and give a great shave.
