Surprised by some of the less than enthusiastic reviews left for this shaving jug....

Anyone familiar with Edwin Jagger will know this is a top quality British brand and this shaving bowl works and looks a treat. Others have said it's not wide enough? Not quite sure what they mean as it's not only wide but quite deep as well! The finish of the mug is top class with a lovely black gloss glaze and my only criticism is that it's such a shame the Edwin Jagger logo isn't bigger on the front as it's very small.... I have my bowl on the bathroom shelf beside my EJ DE Razor and EJ Badger brush hanging on a chrome shaving stand and they all match and look really well together. If you use the bowl for creams or just to work up a lather from soap then you can use the bowl for storing your tubes of shaving creams and cut healing gel etc when not in use, it keeps everything tidy on the shelf. I've ordered some EJ Sandalwood soap refills 65g designed to fit this bowl and looking forward...

This shaving mug creates more dense lather much more quickly than a chrome or porcelain bowl if you use shaving cream. I would recommend all wet shavers that prefer cream to buy either this mug or the Muhle equivalent; they are identical.

Easy to handle, well engineered design, the base has raised spokes to assist the generation of lather. Classy looking in black with the Edwin Jagger Logo displayed on the side. Lather develops quickly using this bowl, very happy customer, no complaints.
