Its not bad. But a too expensive. The quality of the porcelain isn't the greatest. Its a little dull sounding when flicked, fine for a £5 mug but not good for a £20 mug. Size is also a little too small. You're better off getting a nice ceramic bowl about 12cm diameter and 4-6cm depth and a dark interior to make it easier to see the consistence of the lather. Try to resist getting matching stuff and source a decent bowl from a good potter or something. Nice and thick!For this though you're really paying 70% of the cost for the name alone.

A well made product that looks like it will last. For me the bowl is too deep and narrow and the top isn't wide enough. I use a medium size Kent brush and it rattles around the rim, avoid the rim and I don't get the movement to bring up a good lather. Not a great choice for an early morning shave. The handle is to smooth to hold with soaped or oiled hands. For some it may be the perfect shaving partner but for me the bowl is the wrong shape. My preferred shape seems to be a low and wide soap dish.

Although a little expensive this mug is the perfect size and shape. Even though the price is high I'm going to give it 5 stars as I'm extremely pleased with it.
