Having been a safety razor user for many years I wanted to upgrade some of my kit. I had a Wilkinson Sword artificial brush which was ok but lost on average about two bristles per shave. Firstly, this brush has not lost a single hair since I've had it which is about six weeks now. The hair is extremely soft, being one of the finest types of badger hair which is renowned for its water absorption, softness and durability. The density of the hairs and their length give a great lather and help to lift the hairs on your face before your shave. This brush is much smaller than my previous one but does a much better job in less time. The stand is essential for allowing the brush to dry out naturally and maintain its life. Although you wouldn't notice the shape of the handle much it does allow you to get a good hold and manipulate it into all the angles you nned to get good coverage. This is my first shaving brush. The brus is well made and after a weeks use has not had any hair loss.I was a bit worried about the size given that there are three sizes to choose from. I decided to go for super bristles and save money by going for the small brush. I am pleased I did, I can not see why a bigger brush would be better. A larger brush would waste more shaving cream and would be more awkward to use arround the nose.

My husband is very pleased with this brush. We weren't too sure if it would be ok given the 'small' description. However it seems to be the perfect size for 5'11" 17 stone OAP!
